Autobiography of a Rastaman-The Experiences

[From the Author's Introduction] It is my intention to take you on a journey into the life of a Rastaman born in America, not Jamaica. The experiences, you will find, are similar, perhaps even more pronounced due to the different circumstances that we face in this country. The obstacles may be greater here than there due to the mentality of the population, obstacles that one must overcome if they are to prevail on this path. It is not a path for the weakheart. The deeper one goes, the greater the degree of mysticism one experiences. It is also my intention to convey to the reader some of the realities of being a Rastafarian in this society and the many beliefs we share with one another, that which makes us who and what we are. Some of my opinions may be offensive to some people, but they reflect the truth as I've come to know it. So, I give these opinions with no apology. If the truth is offensive, then you may be the one with the problem, and you have to deal with it, hopefully, in a positive way. Evaluate it for yourself and form your own opinion. Whatever conclusion you come to, I can respect it because I will continue as I've been doing, for nothing can turn me away from this spiritual journey. It's simply too beautiful.

This is my first attempt at writing a book so I don't really have any great experience in writing. I was inspired to do this because of my love of writing and my desire to share some of the many experiences I've had along this spiritual journey, experiences that others may find to be beneficial to their spiritual journey. I am a college graduate with a degree in Business Administration whereby I've taken numerous English courses which, I feel, have benefited me in being able to write with some degree of conformity. And, I know I am quite knowledgeable of what I'm writing about because of the length of time I've been living according to this knowledge, incorporating it into my everyday existence. God has given me this wisdom and knowledge and the desire to share it with those who want to learn. Because He is my guiding force, this is something I must do, for I know He will direct me in this endeavor, enabling me to complete the mission. It is simply a divine undertaking, a task that I was called upon to do. Failure to accomplish this is not an option, for it must be done. Bongo Najja
