First thus with Pyle illustrations. 8vo. 474 pages, Index. 13 full-page gravure plates with printed guards, many vignettes. Full vellum decorated and lettered in gilt, top edges gilt, other edges untrimmed. Binding moderately soiled, boards slightly warped, tiny split to lower front joint of Vol. I. Owner's name on each pastedown, and brief Christmas gift inscription in pencil dated 1893 on front blank of Vol. I, few small spots, paper bright. BAL 9215.; 8vo 8" - 9" tall; 274 pages.
