Item description from seller

1 page. Very Good. Letterhead: Dr. Allen B. Kanavel/ 1015 South El Molino Avenue/ Pasadena, California. "June 8, 1933/ My dear Hall/ I am delighted to hear that/ you were passed by the Committee./ I am sure your records were good/ and that you will not have any/ trouble but I will suggest that/ they be gone over early so/ that if there are any others to be sent/ you can know it early. As you/ know there is a Committee--not/ comprised of officials who go over/ them and their judgement [sic] is/ generally followed. However you/ have now gotten over the big/ hurdle--the rest will be easy/ With kindest regards/ Kanavel." Kanavel letterhead address "1015 South El Molino Avenue, Pasadena California", is for his home, which was designed by the well-known architect Walter Neff, creator of the "California Style". It was built in 1922 and is still there.
