British Museum, 14 August 1865. Dr.Albert Günther (1830-1914), Anglo-German zoologist, Director of the Zoological Department at the British Museum. He supplied much information on the lower vertebrates to Charles Darwin, who incorporated the data in The Descent of Man. He was the founder and editor of the Record of Zoological Literature.
