In 1989 he pioneered Eco-lit, one of the first ecology literature courses to be offered in the US. He published 25 books and won the 2013 Colorado Book Award for Poetry. Two autograph letters signed. Probably sent together, the first unsigned, both to Ken Pettitt. 1. Single page, 6 x 9 inches. Dated 6-12-65, discussing his current work and requesting Ken send him his latest, About 150 words. 2. Two pages, dated 6-21-65. Discusses his current work requests work from Ken, his links to Gertrude Stein's experiments with language, his favorite poets, signed 'neo-atavistically yrs. Jack C.'
