The Italian born Campanari (1855-1927) began his career as a cellist before pursuing a career as a baritone and finding great success with the Metropolitan opera in New York, where he gave over 200 performances from 1893-1912. In 1895 Campanari appeared on stage with fellow baritone Ericcson F. Bushnell in Walter Darosch's opera The Scarlet Letter. Bifolium. Old folds, remnants of mount on verso of bank integral.
