Automated Creativity

What happens when engineering and art collide?

Engineering and Art are often set up as dichotomous endeavors, but what happens when those mix together? This book of poems is what happens. Not with AI (don't worry nothing here was written by AI, but some poems are about AI), but from a software engineer with a creative side, a poet with a technical mind. I live at that intersection of automation and creativity, and want to share what I've found there with you. In the 33 poems in this collection, I hope to share a new perspective... while being a little silly along the way!

Join me as we explore the strange, delightful, and deeply human space where technology, and creativity meet. Whether you're an engineer searching for creativity, an artist fascinated by technology, or someone who lives somewhere in-between, this collection offers a perspective that is both insightful and a little mischievous. Enjoy a journey through the creative side of engineering - and the engineered side of creativity.

Michael Siegert Jr., a software engineer by trade and a poet at heart graduated from Miami University with a degree in Computer Science and Interactive Media Studies (the robot design came from an assignment in that program). He has had poems published in multiple anthologies and has some poems hanging on people's walls, which isn't as impressive but seemed fun to mention. He's a bit weird in that way, but he's also writing about himself in the third person which is a bit strange in and of itself.
