Synopsis

Laurel grabbed her stomach as a wave of pain ripped through her; what's happening, she thought; it can't be my baby; it's too soon; gripping the wall, trying to steady herself; all she could think of was getting to Jarot; he will know what to do. "I can't have this baby now," Laurel prayed to the Goddess for strength before the next wave of labor pain hit, which was so intense that she found herself on her knees, screaming.

The birthing seemed to take hours, yet the midwives became fearful when the results of the birth produced not just one baby but twins, a boy, and a girl.

Cam, the head midwife, knew she had to act fast before the authorities found out about the birth. Cam then turned to end the babies' lives when Laurel spoke.

"You will not kill my babies," Laurel shouted Give me my babies; give them to me, NOW!

At that moment, the room started to shake; furniture began to topple to the floor as a high-pitched ringing reverberated throughout the entire house. Cam clasped her hands over her ears to stave off the sound before falling to the floor, unconscious.

Now, the chase is on for Jarot and Laurel to protect the twins from sure death since the twins are the ones who will change the world forever.

About the Author

As a child, I always had difficulty falling asleep, so instead of counting sheep, I made up stories in my head, which would promptly put me right to sleep. I fell in love with fantasy and Science fiction media. I often found myself creating different endings to books, movies, or television shows. Still, I realized these avenues were not enough, and I finally took pen to paper and recorded all of the stories that filled my head over the years, and viola, a writer of stories was born.
