The First Edition Library's beautiful facsimile of Chopin's 1899 classic, the first novel to examine an affair from the woman's perspective. No flaws in the book that I can detect, bright and new looking. The original was published wthout a dust jacket, hence the facsimile has no dust jacket. The slipcase has a tiny smudge on the botom edge and a couple of thin cracks in the white paper lining of the slipcase at edges, only visible when examining the inside of the slipcase with the book removed, otherwise fine. Photos are the best description. First Edition Library Facsimiles had the same weight, size, typeface, art, dust jacket, finish and texture as the originals. Even mistakes (all first edition points are present) were duplicated The series is now out of print and these facsimiles are collectible in their own right. The publisher's slip describing first edition points and other information about the book is prized by collectors and this book has it.
