Having recovered from a car accident at 19, which left Natasha in a coma, suffering a Subarachnoid Brain Haemhorrage and jaw injuries, memory loss and many other effects, ‘Awareness’ reflects her to return to balance. Months and years after, having defied the surgeons’ predictions for her future, she wishes to share her story and remind us how anything is possible if you have faith, hope and belief in your own strength. Of course, always leaving room for humour. Natasha believes we all have our own special talent(s) that we must honour and we must truly cherish our health and each day. That equality and respect for all is a must and that everything you wish for you can create for yourself, when in balance.

ACTING AND HEALING

Having studied and practiced in acting both on stage and camera, I experienced the healing qualities that it encompasses. Not only is acting creative as it embodies the idea of living in the moment, but also it broadened my Awareness of others.

Yet, each day, I see people all around the world showing Oscar-worthy performances. In order to protect themselves in life, people embody a role pending on which environment they are placed in.

ACTION

I agree with Robert St John (Metamorphosis) that `the mind behind the action is the beginning of everything'. Action is necessary to gain results. ACUPUNCTURE

I have tried Acupuncture various times, which I felt helped my circulation and grounded me after each treatment. In this treatment it deals with the symptom of your imbalance.

According to the Acupuncture Council of Ireland: "The traditional Chinese theory holds that the body's life energy called Qi (pronounced Chee) travels around the body in pathways called meridians. The acupuncturist views illness as an energetic imbalance and is able to influence this imbalance by inserting very fine needles at certain points along these channels called Acupoints.

The acupuncturist may also use heat treatment (called Moxibustion) or Cupping in the treatment."

NOTE: CUPPING IS USED AS A MEANS OF DETOXIFYING THE BODY. PREPARE FOR IMMEDIATE BRUSING. SO, PLEASE DO NOT PLAN ANY BEACH TRIPS POST-CUPPING!

ACUPRESSURE

Acupressure is suggested for those who are fearful of needles and can be used during and after treatments. It applies the same fundamentals as Acupuncture.

Acupressure stimulates the same points along the meridians as acupuncture without the use of needles. This can be performed by the patient at home and is often used on very young children both at home and in a clinic setting.

AFFECTION

ART AND HEALING

In my opinion art and healing are symbiotic. I disagree with the idea that creating drama or pain to create art is necessary. Also, disagreeing with the concept that artists should be stereotyped as victims. True artists are messengers recording a moment in time in a creative way.

PAIN=PAIN. CREATION=CREATION.

Hence, Art must be created in a moment of creativity. It then allows people to channel their passion and pain into something creative. Therefore, art is a way to heal, whilst creating something beautiful.

AROMATHERAPY:

Aromatherapy is where Essential oils from plants are used and massaged onto the skin. The oils are noted to stimulate the brain and therefore have a relaxing effect to calm you in that moment.

THERE IS ASTROLOGY AND CHINESE ASTROLOGY. BOTH INDICATING THAT THE MOMENT THAT YOU ARE BORN; (THE MONTH AND YEAR) CAN TYPIFY CERTAIN TRAITS IN YOUR PERSONALITY. IN ASTROLOGICAL TERMS, IT IS SUGGESTED THAT EACH MONTH AND YEAR HAD UNIQUE ELEMENTS OF WHERE THE PLANETS ETC. WERE ALIGNED. AURA SOMA

In Aura Soma treatments, you chose an Aura Soma bottle, of a variety of colours in every visit. The one you chose represents the area or block that you need to re-balance at that point in time. From this, you work through this block through colour, scents and vibrational methods of healing.

AWARENESS

Awareness is an abstract idea. Some see it as ENLIGHTENMENT, AWAKENING ... etc. which is exciting as each person shares a unique idea on this. Through Metamorphosis and life experience I have broadened my Awareness on a deeper level, which also allows me to understand the idea on a practical level. I believe it must begin within to understand Awareness outside of yourself. Living in the moment and in balance allows awareness and balance to happen each day.

Balance is the closest definition to `perfection' in my eyes. It is down to you and I to base our decisions on balance in each day. Even if you go off balance, which is part of life. With `Awareness' it is easier to get back on track. NO ONE IS PERFECT. WE ALL GO OFF BALANCE. EMBRACE IT. BALANCE IS ABOUT FINDING YOUR HAPPY MEDIUM IN EACH DAY.
