Very Good example of a later printing. Largely clean. Slight tilt to the spine. 131 pages. 3.5" x 5.25". A collection of remarks by the first Prime Minister and, later, first President of Ghana, Kwame Nkrumah (1909 1972), drawn from his speeches and writings. Though Nkrumah became increasingly authoritarian throughout his political career, he was initially a beacon of hope for a free, anticolonial Africa. He was overthrown in a coup in 1966 and lived in exile thereafter. This collection was first published the year after the coup. Styled the "freedom fighters edition," it is clear he was still largely remembered as a revolutionary and proponent of pan-Africanism. . New and enlarged Freedom Fighters Edition.
