About the Author

William J. Seymour was the pastor of the Apostolic Faith Mission in Los Angeles. The mission hosted one of the greatest revivals in the history of the Christian Church. Seymour, the son of former slaves, led the interracial revival as it spread the Pentecostal message around the world. It is assumed that most of the selections in the book were written by Seymour. He taught doctrines at the mission.
