"Color illustrated deep red paper covered boards with a cream cloth spine. Front cover color illustration of mom & pop elephant reading to the three wee ones (If any elephant can be called wee). Rear cover blank. Blue patterned end papers illustrated with repeated drawings of elephants (All trunk to tail). 40 pages. Book size about 10 1/2" wide by 14 1/2" tall. This is one of the lovely old oversize editions so seldom seen today. Illustrated throughout in full color and with all text and page numbers hand lettered; all by the author. Moderate general wear to the covers most noticeable as a crunched lower front cover corner and wear to all corners; couple of small scuffs to the front cover; rear hinge about one third broken at the bottom.
