Illustrated brown boards (front, back, & spine). No Dust Jacket (DJ). Spine is darker than the boards. Soiled boards, .5" abrasion on spine tail. Minor abrasions on head of spine. Bumped corner boards. Soiled edges. Tight binding, but endpapers worn on front and back inner hinges. Misc. pencil marks on inside front endpaper paste down: "May Bell Knight" written in cursive with date Jan 6th 1886 below name. Natural toning of paper. Thirty-eight B&W illustrations, all five colored map sets are present. Light pencil marks occasionally in margin. Approx dimensions 5.25" x 7.5" x .75"[2 blank], color two-page map Roman Empire, xii, 302, six leaves of Barnes Advertisements page number blank then 67-77. [2 blank].
