" Oblong 4to. 25 cm.) 24 leaves each one bearing a halftone photo, captioned in both Dutch and English, including a tipped on photo on the first leaf, which appears to be the headquarters of the K.P.M. company. Original batik cloth over flexible boards tied with a brown cord. JKust touches of wear to extremities, batik cloth clean and bright, brown stain on the front cover (coffee?), all photos in fine condition, binding cord intact, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. Among the photos are the following: Town Hall, Old Gate, Old Dutch Bridge, The Great River [choked with boats], The Club "Harmonie", West Side "Koningplein", A Corner of the Bazaar Semen, Protestant Church, [statue of] Jan Pieter, Founder of Batavia, Government offices, Government Hotel, Castle Batavia, Java Bank, p ost Office Weltevreden, The Roman Catholic Church in Commemoration of Waterloo, Training College for Doctors, Tjiwong River, Monument to Those Who Fell at Atjeh in Wilhemina Park, Palace of the Governor General, Sluice Gates, Canal Between Noordwijk and Rijswijk, Another photo of the canal, Hotel of the State Railways Konigsplein and Theatre.
