Early printing. A fairly uncommon later title in this aviation adventure series written under the same house name as the Hardy Boys series. The Ted Scott series was the longest-lived of the juvenile aviation series, selling over a million copies (in fact, during its heyday it outsold the Hardy Boys series.) Glossy frontispiece and orange and white endpapers illustrated by J. Clemens Gretta. 216 pp. plus 2 pp of publishers ads (ad lists to #18 in this series) Fair condition only in tan cloth with black lettering (front endpaper along edge of cloud, rear endpaper and ads damaged with some loss of paper, tape repair to one leaf, etc), no dust jacket .
