BBQ Pizza: A Flaming Expose On Macho Cooking

Everything you need to know about barbeque pizza. Naturally there are lots of pizza recipes; the tried and true favorite pizzas as well as exciting new pizza ideas. All with the right proportions of ingredients so you get it right the first time.

There are several simple and delicious pizza dough recipes. (Beer dough is my husband's favorite.) It has some tasty pizza sauce recipes to bring out your inner Italian. The book also includes some seafood and vegetarian pizzas. The very best part is the entire chapter on dessert pizzas! Dessert pizzas are a HUGE hit with kids of all ages! My friends are always impressed with these!

I have included lots of tips for throwing a fun pizza party, with an ingredient checklist to make your get together go smoothly. People love to come over and make pizzas! Everyone enjoys experimenting and discussing the best pizzas.

Each pizza recipe comes with a suggestion for a wonderful wine or craft beer pairing. The wines and beers are not just excellent, most are also outstanding values, so you can afford to serve them at a pizza party.

My book also goes over the right equipment for pizza making, including the best type of pizza stone for barbequing. Everyone's favorite part of this book is the description of mistakes to avoid when grilling pizza. I have compiled a lot of data on what NOT to do when BBQing pizza.

About the Author

I was supposed to spend my life lounging on the French Riviera with a fancy cocktail in my hand, but somehow I got turned around and ended up in California with a glass of wine instead. Which is pretty darn close, except for that pesky working thing.

I'm past that wonderful, awful stage of raising kids. My husband of 30 years, Greg, and I are now into that really fun spoiling grandkids part of life. (Fill them full of sugar, tire them out and spoil them rotten. When they become totally impossible, hand them back.) We also have an assortment of rescued pets and a small vineyard in the backyard.

As a member of the California Writers Club, I'm enjoying writing and sharing my jokes and stories with others. I'm hoping one day writing will replace the blasted job.

Some of you have read this hoping to understand the workings of this author's mind. Let me clarify for you: This author is a few sandwiches short of a picnic. Why do you think I had to make all those pizzas? There just weren't enough sandwiches to go around. Not to mention a banana split sandwich just doesn't sound appetizing.
