About this Item

This is a UK hardcover published by John Heywood in 1881. I am selling this as a shelf filler or reading copy / reference work. The book is almost detached from the spine due to a severe split to the front boards, which sees the text block hang loosely from the boards. There is also an unpleasant owner label that has been poorly removed still showing on the inner board. The text block is complete and clean overall, with foxing present in places and heavily toned page edges. The book has 387 pages. Seller Inventory # 017464

Shipping Terms:

I charge shipping that reflects my actual costs. I do NOT offer cheap shipping and add it to the book price so please do not complain to me that Bob down the road offers cheaper postage. Sure he does - but the price of his book is hiked to reclaim it, or you're referring to a power seller who can negotiate postage discounts. I can't - I'm a private individual selling my private collection. ABE only allows me to set one postage rate so I charge the rate for hardbacks sent in a box with bubble wrap and polystyrene peanuts. Where postage is less - eg a paperback or small hardback - I refund the difference once I get my receipts and know the exact cost. Tracking is NOT provided automatically on UK parcels - you have to choose priority mail AND pay an additional �7 postage on top.
