1897. Very good condition with no wrapper. Re-issue. 119 artistic colored plates (lithographs) representing the different species and varieties drawn and colored from nature including a copious text giving a popular account of their habits and characteristics, based on observations made in the field by the most eminent writers on ornithology prefaced by a systematic table and index to page, plate and figure. Very large format. Full red morocco binding with gilt title to front and spine. All edges gilt. 182 pages plus index. Spine faded, edges rubbed, a few scuff marks to front & rear board. Corners worn. Front joint between title page and frontis pulled. Some scattered foxing. A few closed margin tears. Some grubby margin marks (fingering). All plates present and beautifully bright. Packaged with care and promptly dispatched.

Returns: We do our best to make sure that all of our books are described accurately. Books can be returned within 14 days of receipt.
