"The intention of the present study is to provide an empirical data base for modifying the standard parent training programs to make them more effective with black parents. Thus, the study is conceptualized and conducted for the direct purpose of being helpful to black families. Much effort has gone into presenting the date in such a manner as to be faithful to what the data reveal and at the same time to be sensitive to its potential political uses. The study is unique in other important respects. There is not a great deal of research-based information on the parenting ideas and practices of blacks. This study helps to fill this information gap by providing what may be the most comprehensive research-based assessment of the ideologies and actual practices of black parents." Quarto: [4], vii, 136 p. Original printed white paper wrappers with a black velo binding. Small label shadow to the rear panel; else very good or better. Seller Inventory # 77508
