Hardcover. Condition: Good. Rewritten and revised by the author Blacker, himself, fishing tackle maker of 54 Dean St, Soho, London. With 22 plates, 18 in colour.Contemporary black leather, which has been re-backed at some point. The leather is rather worn and scuffed, and the original spine has almost entirely been lost. The hinges have been re-inforced internally, so the binding is very sturdy. The contents are in excellent condition, with all the plates present, clear and bright. Only one plate has a tissue guard. This copy belonged to, and was inscribed by Alexander Halley M.D. (a doctor born in Dunkeld, who practiced in Harley Street, London, and was an advocate of the Gaelic language); on the front pastedown are the initials A H & W B, dated 29/7/55.
