Illustrated paperwraps, stapled. 11 x 11 cm. 32 pp. Calendar for 1890, and part of 1891 on verso of front wrapper. The illustration on the front cover depicts a Native American in a headdress, astride a horse, attempting to spear a grizzly bear. Descriptions of the diseases cured by Morse's Indian Root Pills, created from medicinal remedies Dr. Morse learned from the native tribes, along with testimonials (dated 1888-90). Several of these letters are addressed to W.H. Comstock thanking him for his advice. Comstock also provides recommendations for pill dosage for children, as "Sole Proprietor, Morristown, NY," and advertises his own "Comstock's Dead Shot Pellets for Worms" on page 32. Interspersed with the promotional information are brief biographies, with small portraits, of famous actors, actresses, opera singers, etc., along with a list of performers giving their stage names and real names. Printed on poor quality paper, type a bit off-center on the page, small name stamp on rear wrapper, else a very good copy. One listing found on OCLC: Univ. of Rochester [with a date of 1892].…
