A 24 pp. offprint with full t.p., no illustrations Wellcome catalogue gives 'Human Anatomy and Physiology' as by the author and published between 1878- 1888 with this as penultimate chapter, but pre-1886 as translator still described as Assistant Surgeon at Charing Cross Hospital, having assumed this post in 1877, but promoted to Surgeon that year, so most likely 1886. Only English publications on vision by Witkowski matched at time of listing, no French original on Bookfinder, but he was very active in late 1870s and 1880s. Slight chips to top front outer corner and slightly worse, though minimal, to last 4 leaves (pagination end on back), a few light traces of dustiness and the odd tiny spot to t.p. and back. In protecive transparent sleeve. 13.5 cm x 21.5 cm.
