Full brown morocco leather bound cover with gilt stamping, 5 raised bands, and brass closure iw frayed at corners and cracked along hinges and rear board is detached (but present) and cover is clean and bright making for a good candidate for display or repair. Boards are slightly warped. Spine is straight. Binding is tight. Gilt page edges all the around are scuffed but in good condition. Lovely gilt dentelles and marbled end sheets and paste downs very good. Engraved frontispiece of Jesus is foxed but protected by tissue. Pages are lightly toned but only very sparse modest foxing and clean and in very good condition. 4 additional engraved plates. .
