A prayer book in a very attractive ivory binding. Ivory front and rear boards, edged in brass, missing the clasp, leather spine with gilt lettering and decoration. Superb bright gilt over red to all pages edges, binding firm. Undated, with the first inscription dated 1877. Internally clean and tight, original endpapers with dates from 1878 to 1888 in pen to the front pastedown along with a paper cutting (deceased notice) dated 1924, name to front free endpaper, Kate kitchingman from R. A. 15th August 1877 (likely Robert Askwith),tipped in Miss Augusta K. Askwith, Harrogate to the reverse of the front endpaper, no further markings. A very attractive copy. Size: 85mm x 130mm.
