Period Red Full=Leather binding with beautiful Gilt Urn and flower design. 5 Raised bands to spine with fine gilt floral design filling compartments. Gilt hatching on board edges and inside border. Endpapers marbled. All page edges Gilt. Large bold type headers to pages and text arranged in long lines. Title page dated MDCC LXII (1762). 9 1/2" Tall.
Good + condition. Some edge wear to boards and 3 corners worn. Small bits of leather missing at spine ends (see photos). fine crack to leather along right side of spine but board is firmly attached. Antique inscriptions in top margin of title page, contents page and first page of order of prayers, dated 1823-29, and small pieces clipped from top corner of these pages to remove names. No other inscriptions. Pages in very good condition.
