BORN FOR BLESSINGS PB

Born for Blessings testifies to the faithfulness of God from generation to generation. It recounts the battles and victories of this doctor-turned-bishop who has greatly influenced the churches in Singapore, South East Asia and even America. Indeed, God has used this fearless man to be a blessing to many people and to do great exploits for the Lord.

Moses Tay was born into a devout Christian family in Malaysia. After completing his medical studies in Singapore, he returned to serve in Malaysia. In 1970, he moved to work in the Ministry of Health in Singapore. At the same time, he did his theological studies as an external student with the University of London. He went on to specialise in Internal Medicine but soon moved to hospital administration. He was ordained as non-stipendiary priest in 1978.

Moses was the Director of Tan Tock Seng Hospital when he was elected and appointed as the Bishop of Singapore. He served as the 7th Bishop of Singapore (1982-2000) and also as the 1st Archbishop of the Province of South East Asia (1996-2000).

Now in his retirement, he continues to be actively involved in mentoring, missions and ministry in the church in Singapore and beyond. He and his wife Cynthia, as well as his children and grandchildren, live in Singapore.
