In a near-future world fractured by constant school shootings, society has split into two ideologically opposed factions: the Globalists, who seek unity, uniformity, and peace, and the Segmentists, who fight for individual freedom and self-expression. Amid this volatile landscape, a team of academics studying an ancient Amazonian tribe is mysteriously killed―triggering a chain of assassinations targeting top linguists and scientists around the world.
Professor Neel Dutta is pulled into the investigation and soon discovers the murders are tied to Neo-Esperanto, a primordial perceptive language with the potential to radically transform human communication. With the help of his ex-girlfriend and fellow academic, Devin Jones, Neel must evade relentless assassins, uncover the truth behind the secretive Mertongue Project, and confront the enigmatic figure known as Thanatos. Their search spans continents as they race to prevent a global catastrophe―while facing their own tangled history and the dangerous secrets held by those they once trusted.

About the Author
Abhishek developed a love for reading and storytelling at an early age. Fascinated by physics, history, and mythology, he often lost himself in stories―some rooted in the past and others boldly speculative. At just fifteen, he published his first science-fiction thriller, Father of the Gods, followed by Land of the Gods and Gods of the Gods, completing the trilogy at ages eighteen and twenty-two. The books earned praise from notable figures including Amish Tripathi, Vishal Bhardwaj, Harsha Bhogle, and Christopher C. Doyle.
While studying at UC Berkeley, Abhishek naturally shifted toward telling stories through data, publishing research papers in economics, energy, and machine learning. He is currently an Associate at Charles River Associates, an economic consulting firm based in Boston. When he isn’t working or writing, Abhishek enjoys going to the gym, trying new sports such as mixed martial arts and skiing, traveling, and playing the flute.
