In a world where teenage boys are relentlessly pressured into sex by their peers and mass media, Robbins’ book is more than timely. She outlines the benefits of waiting to have sex in an educational, yet entertaining, way to young readers, particularly those ages 12-19. “Baby Boy, You Should Wait Awhile” is available on Amazon.com, Createspace.com and Robbins’ website (http://destinyrobbins.com/). The book aims to educate young males about the importance of being careful, thoughtful and intentional about sex. It is written from the perspective of a young woman who, despite being a single mother of two, earned a graduate degree in social work from University of Southern California. The tone of her writing reflects that of an older sister speaking to a younger sibling in a non-condescending manner. The book urges its readers to thoroughly think through their decisions. “I try to use my own personal experiences to ensure that the book is down-to-earth and relatable,” Robbins said. The book provides insight and tips on: • Navigating a society saturated with sex and avoiding STDs • Combating peer pressure to have sex • Escaping unhealthy relationships, including domestic violence among teens • Persevering and pursuing your dreams
