Previous owners of this copy were Jan Longone (noted American food historian), and Ed Grabhorn (founder of Grabhorn Press, "one of the foremost fine printing establishments" in the 20th century). Condition: Light fading/staining to the cloth at the bottom-right quadrant and top-left corner of the front cover, and at the bottom-left corner of the back cover. Tight binding with no cracks and no loose pages. Both covers are firmly attached. Consistent mild foxing to the pages (though a bit heavier on the end papers). There are light stains that appear at the lower-inner and lower-outer page corners starting at the beginning of the book.the lower-outer corner stain disappears at page 3; the lower-inner corner stain disappears around page 62. Small label affixed to the front pastedown, "Alta California Bookstore / From the Library of Ed Grabhorn at the Grabhorn Press." Page 25 has a 1" tear at the outer edge.
