Back from the Brink (Paperback)

Back from the Brink is a Christian testimony and pastoral reflection about finding strength, hope, and God's way forward when life feels impossible. Written during a season of intense academic pressure and uncertainty, Dr. Davy Ronald Hermanus reflects on how crises can become places where God reveals hidden treasures of faith, endurance, and grace. Through biblical stories and personal experiences of fear, illness, financial pressure, family struggles, disappointment, and closed doors, this book invites readers to trust God before the outcome is known and to take the next obedient step even at the edge of human strength.

Dr. Davy Ronald Hermanus, Ph.D. is a Christian teacher, ministry practitioner, and writer whose work brings together biblical teaching, Spirit-empowered ministry, discipleship, education, and engagement with the challenges of the modern world.

His ministry journey has included preaching, training, prayer for healing, mentoring, and service in local and international settings. He is especially concerned that the church remain centered on Jesus Christ, grounded in Scripture, open to the work of the Holy Spirit, and equipped to carry the gospel of the kingdom into everyday life.

The Kingdom of God Is Near reflects his desire to leave a spiritual inheritance for families, churches, and a generation living amid rapid cultural and technological change. His central message is that Jesus Christ remains Lord, the gospel remains the power of God unto salvation, and the kingdom of God remains the hope the world urgently needs.
