Stephen M. Samtur is a Bronx native (University Avenue) who went to DeWitt Clinton and graduated from CCNY and later received a MS from Hunter College. He taught at Taft High School in the Bronx. Growing up, he played golf at Van Cortlandt, Mosholu, Pelham and Split Rock golf courses and went swimming at Orchard Beach. During the summers, he worked at Yankee Stadium.
Since 1992, Stephen has produced Back in THE BRONX, a magazine celebrating the experience of growing up and living in the Bronx. He and his wife Susan have four children: Stuart, Mark, Michael and Adam and live in Scarsdale, New York.
