First edition, Stated First Printing. A nice copy of the Pulitzer Prize-winning author's first Broadway play. Book is tight and square with clean unmarred boards and top stain. Textblock is clean with no writing, bookplate or marks and not BCE, ex-library or remaindered. Pages lightly tanned. Dust jacket is unclipped ($2.50) with light soiling, a few closed tears and a minute chip on bottom spine (see photos). Protected in a Brodart cover. Author's first book.
