About the Author

Arne Jarrick, born 1952 , is a Swedish historian. He is Professor of History at the University of Stockholm. Originally economic historians, focused on the history of mentalities, or psychological social history. Jarrick was a member of the Research Council 1999-2003 and later Secretary of the Scientific Council for Humanities and Social Sciences. He was elected as a member of the Royal Academy of Science 12 November 2008.
