Small 4to. [8], 9-342, [2] pp. Light grey cloth with an inset illustration on the front board, a gold border and a blue border on the front board, brown lettering on the spine; top edge gilt. Illustrated blue endpapers and pastedowns. A pictorial title page, and eight color plates all illustrated by Jesse Wilcox Smith. A charming children's book beautifully illustrated by a master of the craft. The rear hinge cracked and broken, the front hinge cracked but repaired and holding, rubbing to the foot of the spine.
