About the Author

Barry W. Holtz, born in Boston, is the Theodore and Florence Baumritter Professor of Jewish Education at The Jewish Theological Seminary. He is the author of many books including Rabbi Akiva: Sage of the Talmud and Finding Our Way: Jewish Texts and the Lives We Lead Today.
