Add to basketBackroads of Colorado by Boyd & Barbara Norton (1986 Trade Paperback) This is your complete guide to the most scenic backroads of Colorado: the secret routes and highways that lead you through the state?s most beautiful mountain ranges, alpine wildflower meadows, river valleys, ghost towns, aspen forests, and more. Let Boyd and Barbara Norton enhance your Colorado tour with their personal and colorful tales. They provide detailed directions for each of the over 40 backroad adventures, along with descriptions of the surrounding area, its history, and interesting points of discovery along the way. All the routes described in Backroads of Colorado were accessible by car. The authors also discuss which roads are suitable for mobile-home RVs and off-road four-wheel drive vehicles. A bibliography is supplied. Photos not attributed to others were taken by Boyd Norton. Sketch-maps were drawn by Gene Sharp, based on maps prepared by Paul Tiddens. Oversized trade paperback has complete covers with a chip lost from spine along foot of spine stabilized with tape. The prior owners clipped a few newspaper accounts of out-of-the-way sites of interest in Southern Colorado that were laid in the book and part of this offer. Original MSR was overwritten with ink to hide price. No ownership markings, nor notes in text to modify the routes as laid out in the 1970s. Interior is tight, clean and unmarked.
