About the Author

Over his career, Robert J. van Eyden (PhD) has taught, presented, researched, published and blogged everything stock-market-related. He has also led and managed three stockbroking firms and one international CFD (contract for difference) provider. His trading journey has now come full circle: having initially applied artificial intelligence in predicting and selecting stocks when AI was in its infancy, he is currently practising the significantly more straightforward ‘going-back-to-basics’ approach by following a well-defined trading strategy, while eliminating any emotional biases. His aim is to help traders achieve long-term success in the stock market by focusing on method and mind.
