While attempting to solve the murders, the group of news men forms an alliance with a pair of well-educated, scantily-clad college women, and a lazy, but emotional, sheriff. There are painful encounters with wild animals, strange water chases involving boats and animals, a tornado, and many other scenarios that could only take place in one place: Badger Lake, Wisconsin.

About the Author

Aaron Shaffer is a television meteorologist with the cable weather channel Weather Nation. He has previously worked in Casper, WY, Sioux Falls, SD, and Cedar Rapids, IA. He grew up in Minneapolis after spending his first few years in Chicago & Illinois. Aaron launched his television career after earning a degree in Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences from the University of Wisconsin - Madison.
