Beautiful beaches and amazing local people are the vibrant backdrop to a tropical island adventure. This is a story of one family s journey as they leave their safe California lifestyle and take up residence in The Bahamas. The experience is witnessed through the love, laughter, hardships, and yes, even a few tears. It is a three-year excursion documenting their memorable journey and includes part history, part comedy, part truth, and a little bit of story-telling. Strong friendships, unforgettable characters, and everlasting picturesque seaside views make it a time to remember. One thing is for sure, it will be a story you will not soon forget.

Jim Reno was born in Palo Alto, California, the son of a surfer and a beauty queen. His parents raised him in Santa Cruz, California. They taught him to dream and raised him to think independently. He discovered at age ten that he loved to tell stories to his brother, sister and cousins. He soon learned that writing them down helped him remember the detail, dialogue and settings. He quickly found that writing was a powerful way to get the attention of others. It was also an easy way to extract anything he felt inside, good or bad. And sometimes...others liked what he wrote. Evoking an emotion from another person merely with his words on paper was intoxicating. He was hooked. Jim has written his entire life. He has written a lot of poetry and short stories. He has written one really bad screenplay. This is his first full-length book and he sincerely hopes that his family will still enjoy his tales and his unique style of story-telling. He hopes that this book will expand his literary family. It's his dream that there is a library or book store in Heaven so that his Mother may still read along with him, listening and laughing for hours as he read to her. She was his angel on Earth. Now she is his angel in Heaven.
