It was this opera, known as Pagliacci in Italian, that remained his lasting contribution and greatest success. Translated by Friedrich Wilhelm Ludwig Hartmann, a German composer and music critic. Dated from Royal Academy of Music Library. Bound in half cloth with paper covered boards. Externally, smart with light rubbing and minor bumping to the extremities. Light fading to the spine with sunning to the board edges. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd spot and light age toning to the extremities. Very Good.
