Make, Bake, Mixed-Up Cake: A Story About Flexibility, and Fun

Make, Bake, Mixed-Up Cake is a heartwarming and hilariously chaotic children's picture book created by a mother and her three children during a beautifully transformative chapter of their lives.

The story follows four eager young bakers, Avery, Ella, Carl, and June, as they set out to make the perfect cake. But between spilled milk, spontaneous dance breaks, ingredients swaps, and a mischievous little creature who "accidentally" sprinkles in the salt, nothing goes exactly as planned.

with expressive characters, playful rhythm, and sensory-rich illustrations kids love, this story invites young readers to embrace creativity, problem-solving, and teamwork. More than a baking adventure, Make, Bake, Mixed-up Cake gently teaches that mistakes are part of learning and that joy can be found even when things get mixed up.

Perfect for families, classrooms, libraries, and therapeutic settings this engaging read-aloud supports early literacy, social-emotional learning, and imaginative play for children ages 3-7.
