Includes this brief note on page 206: "Authentic intelligence is received, via Norfolk, that the negroes in Hartford [probably Hertford?] County, N. C. were embodied on the 10th inst and under arms ; and that they had committed great havoc. In short, the whites throughout the state are much alarmed." This uncommon newspaper ceased publication in 1807 and is perhaps most remembered for its early use and definition of the word cocktail in one of their 1806 issues. Seller Inventory # 91142
