The Ballads of Niam bridges the lives of people who have traversed great distances and times to be where they are. Niam has been burdened with a demanding task and a taxing quest. He has been tasked by his wife, Prisha, to find a name for their five-year-old daughter. He is also on a quest to get the hyena, Ajani, across Paris. These two great efforts involve negotiating a trench and a hill. They also span continents and countries and times.
