Hb, black cloth, no dj, 210pp, portrait frontis. 2nd edition. Undated but according to Lovell, the reprint was in 1940. Fair, slack inner front hinge, previous owners' inscriptions on inside front cover and copyright page, dampstaining on first few pages, text clean but pages tanned. Based on Banks' earlier work "Morris-Systems Scientific Checkers" with additional material. Includes " games and annotations of all playable openings including all-time masters' section and one hundred selected problems together with the original treatise on visualization the key to rapid mental development". With 105 master games.
