The Baptism with the Holy Spirit

R A Torrey's book, 'The Baptism with the Holy Spirit', explores how Christians are filled and energized by the presence of God for Christian service. In clear and simple language, R. A. Torrey teaches:

- What the baptism with the Holy Spirit is

- What the baptism with the Holy Spirit does

- Its necessity for the believer

- How this experience can be obtained

- The need for refilling with the Holy Spirit, and

- How the spiritual power can be lost.

Torrey teaches that every Christian receives the Spirit at salvation (Romans 8:9) but not every Christian is baptized with the Spirit (Luke 24:49). He believes the "Promise of the Father" (Acts 1:4) is for every Christian who will tarry and pray for the Baptism (Luke 11:13).

As readers make their journey through this powerful work, they will encounter a unique perspective on important issues facing Christians today. Though written many years ago, this classic work is just as timely now as it was at the turn of the 20^th century.
