RARE, 25 Volume set Baptist Bibliography. Published from 1947-1976. This Baptist Bibliography was made to include writings of Baptists, not only on Baptist topics, but also on topics of general theological, philosophical, historical, and social content. The bibliography throughout each volume is sequentially alphabetically arranged; for example: Volume 1 starts the set with letter A and Volume 25 ends the set with letter Z. The front cover of each volume indicates which section each particular volume covers. All volumes are indexed with an accompanying Chronological Register; each comprehensive index covers the entire alphabet for the set as a whole. All volumes, (*except for vol. 1*) are 9"x11", have a light blue paperback cover with black text, and weigh about 3lbs each. All volumes are in very good condition and display some wear with minor markings, light rubbing, light foxing on page edges/covers, and sunning on spines. Occasional graphite marginalia throughout some volumes. Most volumes are stapled together and a few are bound with string.Details for each volume listed below:Volume 1: 5.5"x8". 1947. Hardcover bound in navy blue publisher's cloth with gilt lettering on spine. *This is the only hardback volume (with a dust jacket) in the entire set.* Contains Editor's Intro page for the entire set. Clean pages with no evident marks or creasing; graphite marginalia on several pages throughout. 240 pp. Includes Abbreviations, References: Full Title, Library Symbols, and Location Symbols sections at back of book. Top edge of pages has light foxing. White dust jacket with blue lettering; jacket has some foxing, as well as rubbing and tearing along edges and is ripped at the bottom of the spine. Volume 2: 1952.
