No Edition Remarks. Half bound brown leather with brown marbled paper covered boards. Gilt lettering to spine. Five Parliamentary papers bound together; first paper is the Barbados financial report 1874-5. The other four are 'papers relating to the disturbances' dated 1876-77: papers numbered C1539, 1559, 1679 and 1687. Also includes newspaper clippings, a copied letter from Barbados Association for Protection of Liens, and another from J L Ohlson of the West India Committee. Hinges are moderately cracked with exposed netting. Clean pages with noticeable tanning and foxing throughout. More pronounced to free endpapers and pastedowns. Pen inscription to title page, partially clipped. Newspaper cuttings stuck to front free endpaper. Boards have heavy edge-wear. Corners bumped, crushing to spine ends with loss to head, and rub wear overall. Gilt lettering is darkened. Heavy splits, loss and peeling to spine and corners. Visible wear marks. Joints cracked.
