Barron's PSAT/NMSQT with CD-ROM

This updated manual prepares high school students for the preliminary version of the SAT college entrance exam, the PSAT. The test also functions as the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (NMSQT), which gives students a chance to qualify for valuable college scholarships. The opening section of Barron’s updated fifteenth edition familiarizes students with the PSAT test format, and includes sample questions and detailed test-taking advice. Students are shown how the test is scored, and are offered tips on how to approach each of the test’s different question types.

The book’s main features include:

A Diagnostic Test with answer key and explanations to help students pinpoint areas where they need further study

Critical Reading Review offering practice exercises for the Sentence Completion Question, tips on improving reading comprehension, and vocabulary-building exercises

Writing Skills Review with exercises to help students avoid grammatical errors and sharpen their paragraph writing style

Detailed Math Review covering arithmetic, algebra, geometry, and related math topics, including probability, data interpretation, and more

Four full length practice tests that reflect the PSAT format with answer keys and answer explanations

An enclosed CD-ROM presents two more full-length model tests in the computerized format with automatic scoring.
