Emilie pareciera ser una chica como cualquiera, preocupada por su aspecto, por las calorías, por el ejercicio. Sin embargo, para ella la comida representa una lucha constante todos los días y ya es difícil ocultárselo a sus padres. Samuel es un chico de Ghana que se embarca en un peligroso viaje para llegar a Europa, encontrar trabajo y enviar algo de dinero a su familia. Eso es lo que hacen todos los chicos de su edad para dejar atrás la pobreza y encontrar un mejor futuro; incluso si para ello tienen que arriesgar la vida. Emilie comes across as an ordinary girl; she worries about her looks, calories, and exercise. However, for her, food represents an everyday struggle, and it’s becoming difficult to hide it from her parents. Samuel is a young man from Ghana that embarks on a perilous journey to reach Europe, find work, and send money to his family. It’s what all of the boys his age do to leave poverty behind and forge a better future. They take the risk, knowing it could cost them their lives. Simon Stranger is a Norwegian author from Lilleaker, Oslo. He comes from a family of writers; he is the nephew of Hans Sande and the great-grandchild of Villa Thrap Whal. Simon is currently studying philosophy at the University of Oslo.
